Casajus Vendimia Seleccionada 2016
Detailed info
The baker of a small 200-person village in Ribera del Duero, José Alberto Calvo Casajús was also quite involved in the local wine co-op until 1993. Following that, he focussed on perfecting his own wines, including this one, made with old stocks of Tempranillo planted by his grandparents in 1920. Aged 14 months in oak casks, the cuvee is marked by notes of cassis, chocolate, spices and charred wood.
