Donations and SponsorshipsThe mission of the Société des alcools du Québec is to provide good service to Quebecers in every region by offering a broad range of quality products. Beyond its business mandate, the SAQ fully assumes its role as a responsible corporate citizen. Promoting moderation, protecting the environment, supporting community action, presenting events and festivals, entering into partnerships to support the major challenges facing Quebec society in the areas of health care, education and culture: this is how the SAQ expresses its societal values. Through its donation and sponsorship program, the SAQ contributes to the economic and social vitality of Quebec’s regions by investing more than $6 million a year in support of some 500 organizations and events. It hopes to do so mainly in areas related to the major challenges facing Quebec society, namely health care, education and culture. The nature of the products it sells makes the SAQ an excellent fundraising resource for social organizations. In such cases, the SAQ’s preferred contribution method is product donations. Accordingly, the SAQ will take part in the main fundraising activity of eligible organizations once a year. It may also make a monetary donation as part of major fundraising campaigns. Calendar of social sponsorships supported by the SAQ To submit a social sponsorship application Event SponsorshipsThe SAQ is keen to be associated with events held throughout Quebec. Specifically, the events and organizations it supports should be appreciated by Quebecers, bring together a critical mass of people and be in areas related to its mission. Aimed at one or another of the SAQ’s target customer groups, these events are usually festivals or fairs. The SAQ is particularly interested in being associated with events and organizations that enable it to reach its priority target customer segments: Connoisseurs, Enthusiasts, Discoverers, Social Drinkers, Regulars and Young Trendsetters. Alcoholic Beverage Industry Events The SAQ’s mission makes alcoholic beverage industry events a natural match. Not only is the industry associated with the personality of the SAQ brand, it is also an emerging business sector in Quebec. Quebecers are eager to learn more about wine. They are also increasingly interested in local products and enjoy agro-tourism. Above all, this sector provides a platform for sharing our expertise, especially in food and wine pairing. |
