Montreal, September 10, 2013 – For the second year running, the Société des alcools du Québec (SAQ) is pleased to present Happy November!, Montreal’s warmest gourmet happening of the year. Happy November! brings a wide array of wine and food events that are certain to excite all lovers of fine wine and food. With an even bigger program this year, everything is in place to make November more festive and memorable than ever.

Beginning October 30, no fewer than nine not-to-bemissed events focused on the wine world and Montreal’s fine dining scene will chase away the grey and give late fall a welcome splash of colour. The SAQ encourages Quebecers and visitors to come taste some 2,500 products, meet 300 wine artisans from Quebec and a dozen countries and discover more than 100 Montreal restaurants. “Thanks to Happy November!, the eleventh month of the year is now a time of warmth and fun because it turns Montreal into an unmissable wine and food destination,” said Alain Brunet, vice-president and chief operating officer at the SAQ. “We are pleased to support the associated events because they will help strengthen Montreal’s reputation as one of the continent’s most fascinating epicurean hot spots.”

It is an opinion shared by Happy November! spokesperson Jessica Harnois, who is also a sommelier and president of Vins au féminin. “It is through initiatives like Joyeux Novembre that Montreal succeeds in standing out in the wine and fine dining fields.
