“The 2013 Meursault Village comes from three parcels that each contributes a different facet to the blend that only as a whole expresses the appellation. It has a really quite engaging bouquet with crisp lime flower, bruised apple and fine mineralite, even at this nascent stage. The palate is well balanced with appreciable ripeness and weight in the mouth. I like the energy here - very composed with a precise finish that's Puligny-like.”
Delicious served chilled over lemon zest to up your cocktail game, this Italian Vermouth is made from an old recipe dating back to the 19th century. No less than 30 elements go into the mix to create this aperitif made from white wine fortified with brandy. A must to start the dinner party on a high note.
“Coming from the upper part of Cornas and seeing 24 months in 400- to 500-liter barrels (none new), the 2012 Cornas Domaine du Coulet Billes Noires is an incredible effort that’s up with the crème de la crème of the vintage. Its inky purple color is followed by an awesome bouquet of cassis, bacon fat, olive, peppered meat and iron, with additional minerality coming through with air. Classic in every way, with full-bodied richness, stunning purity and integrated acidity, it’s a big, brooding and concentrated effort that’s reasonably approachable now due to its fruit and texture.” — www.erobertparker.com

“The 2012 Tinto Quinta Vale D. Maria, the estate flagship, is an old-vine field blend, aged for 21 months in a mixture of new (65%) and used French oak barriques. What’s not to like here? In this rather elegant vintage, it has that elegance typical of the brand, but it also shows reasonable concentration for the vintage and fine grip on the finish. It is actually quite intense. That finish lingers with flavorful, lovely fruit. It handles its oak well and rises above it with aeration.... it has many merits on its own and it will be a pleasure to drink when it comes around.” – www.erobertparker.com

“Is it possible that the 2011 DB4 might turn out better than the two flagships? Sage, rosemary, tobacco, menthol, sweet spices and red berries meld together in an exquisite, gracious wine loaded with finesse and class.... Today, the DB4 challenges Bryant’s top wines. I am not sure that will always be the case, but today, the DB4 is terrific.... The blend is 35% Merlot, 34% Cabernet Franc, 23% Cabernet Sauvignon and 8% Petit Verdot.”
