Emilia-Romagna, as the hyphenated name suggests, is a region in the north of Italy made up of the two provinces. A paradise for wine and food lovers, the region is renowned for its Parmesan, prosciutto, balsamic vinegar and Sangiovese.
Lambrusco wines are very widespread in the region. These are simple, fresh and fruity reds; the perfect pairing for a plate of local charcuteries. Youthful Sangiovese wines are also quite appreciated for their charming fruit and suppleness. When it comes to whites, the series of hillsides and diverse soils yield a wide variety of styles; fresh, dry, or dolce, there’s something for every taste.
