A copious, mouth-filling and rich wine. A palette of spices that’s almost ras el hanout. Dark chocolate and currant. Warm and tannic, but never astringent, never heady. A mouth of licorice notes, evergreen, and a perfect texture.
Almost all Malbec with a touch of Tannat. Lovely typicity. A hint of cinnamon and mint. Reminds me of gingerbread. A rich wine. A robust wine.
With this cuvée, Christine Dupuy has made a supple, approachable and fruit-forward Madiran by aging most of the wine in stainless steel tanks, and a small part in oak barrels.
Evokes scents of violet, eucalyptus and truffles. Silky tannins with a hint of toast. A mouth finale that calls to mind cherry liqueur.
