Château Angludet 2013
A reflection of the Margaux appellation, this is an airy wine with gentle aromas of fresh fruit and spice supported by supple tannins. A true pleasure!
Château Angludet's history goes back centuries, having been mentioned in 12th-century records, long before it was bestowed the rank of Cru Bourgeois Exceptionnel in 1932. After the punishing winter in 1956, the number of hectares under cultivation plummeted from 55 to a mere seven. Everything thus had to be rebuilt when the Sichel family arrived in 1961. Under the latter's guidance, the estate has been given a second life, reclaiming its place among the elite of the appellation. Benjamin Sichel, the sixth generation of the family to work in the wine business, is currently in charge of the estate.
