Domaine de Chevalier Graves Cru Classé 2013
An exceptional Domaine Chevalier. Dominated by Sauvignon (80%) and Sémillon (20%) this clean and complex wine has a magnificent finish. In 1983, the Bernard family took possession of Domaine de Chevalier and has devoted themselves ever since to fervently defending this great tradition, where terroir, vineyard, nature and human are in perfect synch. Produced in near secrecy, the estate's white wine is sourced from a 5-hectare plot. The grapes are meticulously sorted in order to ensure ideal maturity. The aging process that follows is one of the longest of all Bordeaux (18 months on average), which imparts greater texture and depth to the final product. The sound advice of consulting oenologist Denis Dubourdieu guides all activity at the estate. A terrific white wine in a class all its own.
