Always surprising, the Vino de Madrid appellation allows Grenache to express itself with more restraint and freshness than on more traditional terroirs. This wine is born from old vines planted on granite soils at 1,000 meters in altitude, and reveals notes of jammy strawberry, dried herbs and a delicate spice note. Graced with a fresh attack but firm tannins, some decanting will be beneficial.
