“Founded in 1946 in Ampuis by Etienne Guigal, this prestigious Rhone house has made its reputation thanks to the consistency of its wines, respect for the wine-growing heritage and commitment to quality. This Gigondas is a blend of 70% Grenache, 20% Syrah and 10% Mourvèdre. Its rich and intense nose releases tasty aromas of black cherries, liquorice and undergrowth. On the palate, the wine offers us volume, a drinkable fruitiness as well as firm and silky tannins. A treat with lamb tagine, Asian dishes or pan-fried grilled vegetables.”
