AA Badenhorst Le Grand Michel 2023

This cuvée pays tribute to Michel Beauchamp, wine advisor at the Beaubien store in Montréal, whose passion and generosity have had a profound impact on all those who have had the chance to work with him. Michel is no longer with us, but his spirit remains alive through the bonds he was able to create. "Mike Bo" had this rare gift of captivating and moving people, as much by his way of talking about wine, his way of being, but also by all the bottles he suggested. An impressive, tender and comforting human... 

Crafted by the talented Adi Badenhorst, with the collaborative impetus of Charles Goyer and Frédéric Gauthier, this wine is generous, supple and full of crisp fruit, a reflection of the wines he enjoyed. The label is signed by Carl Campeau, artist and colleague at the Angus store. Touching, the work is inspired by Arcadia — the ideal land of peace and harmony — and the arched bridges of antiquity. These symbols perfectly reflect Michel's art of building bridges between people, the love of wine as a backdrop. For all that he leaves us, a magnum was necessary!
