A family story since 1930

Bridging tradition and innovation, this family-owned business looks to the future while staying true to its vision: creating wines that naturally complement all of life's moments.

Mouton Cadet draws its distinctive character from the diversity of Bordeaux's terroirs. Its wines are crafted through close collaboration between a community of winegrowers and a technical team of seven winemakers. From vineyard pruning to vinification in each grower's cellar, the Mouton Cadet technical teams oversee every stage of the wine's journey to ensure the highest possible quality.

This unique approach, unique to Bordeaux, makes it possible to blend the strengths of different terroirs to create modern, balanced wines that remain true to their origins. The result is a range of wines that reflects the richness and diversity of the Bordeaux vineyard while delivering consistent quality from one vintage to the next.

The story of Mouton Cadet continues to be written across generations. Founded in 1930 by Baron Philippe de Rothschild, the brand now benefits from the commitment of his great-grandchildren, Mathilde and Nathan Sereys de Rothschild, who skillfully combine this family heritage with a forward-looking creative vision.

Available in more than 100 countries, Mouton Cadet wines are among the leading ambassadors of Bordeaux winemaking expertise around the world.

One estate, two ranges

Mouton Cadet offers two complementary ranges that showcase the full diversity of Bordeaux. On one hand, they reflect the estate's long-standing expertise and a contemporary expression of Bordeaux terroir. On the other, they feature fresh, fruit-forward wines that are easy to enjoy during spontaneous moments.

Icon range: the expression of Mouton Cadet expertise

This range brings together the wines that best embody the brand's identity. They offer an approachable and authentic interpretation of Bordeaux's great terroirs while reflecting the commitments shaping the future of winemaking.

Mouton Cadet's iconic red cuvée now proudly carries the Fair for Life certification, a commitment that promotes both fair trade and sustainable development. More than just a label, it ensures compliance with rigorous social and environmental standards at every stage of production, from vineyard to consumer.

Fresh range: looking to the future

The family story continues with this brand-new range, inspired by the Baron’s great-grandchildren, Mathilde and Nathan Sereys de Rothschild. Both coming from distinctly artistic backgrounds, they bring a fresh perspective to the business and a new energy to the brand. Deeply involved in Mouton Cadet’s Creative Lab, the company’s innovation and development hub, they helped create two wines bearing their first names: organic and vegan-friendly cuvées that are fruitier, easy-drinking, and best enjoyed chilled. Reimagining Bordeaux wine traditions with freshness and spontaneity, they offer a modern expression of the family legacy, perfect for apéritifs and shared moments.

Mouton Cadet White x Nathan

This 100% Sauvignon Blanc displays notes of candied citrus and passion fruit. Fresh yet generous on the palate, it transitions effortlessly from apéritif to table and pairs just as beautifully with grilled salmon as it does with a falafel sandwich.
