When the mercury in your thermometer starts to rise and the desire to sip a refreshing drink in the sun goes up along with it, lemonade and iced tea are classic go-to drinks. This summer, we’re revisiting the classics by mixing them with some of the season’s hottest spirits.
Honey lemonade
Preparation
Fill a highball or stemless wine glass with the lemon and ice. Pour the honey liquor and lemonade on top. Stir using a bar spoon. Garnish with a lemon wedge and mint sprig.
Spiced iced tea
Preparation
Fill a highball or Mason jar with the ice and lemon and lime slices. Pour the rum and iced tea on top. Stir using a bar spoon. Garnish with a lemon slice, a sprig of mint and enjoy!
Sparkling vodka punch
Preparation
In a pitcher filled with ice, mix all ingredients except for the fruit. Stir using a bar spoon, then add the lemon slices. For a “wow” effect your guests will love, add a few slices of strawberries. Pour into glasses and top off with colourful straws!
Tips and tricks
When made with store-bought lemonade or iced tea, these recipes can be whipped up in under a minute! If, however, you have a bit more time to spare, homemade lemonade and iced tea will really make your drinks stand out! And let your imagination run wild—try adding fresh herbs and fruit to make your cocktails even more delicious.
