- 45 ml (1 1/2 oz.) vodka
- 30 ml (1 oz.) citrus liqueur
- 30 ml (1 oz.) lime juice
- Ice cubes
- 1 lime wedge

Combine the vodka, citrus liqueur and lime juice in a shaker filled with ice cubes.
Shake vigorously for 8 to 10 seconds.
Strain into an old-fashioned glass containing a few ice cubes, using an ice strainer.
Garnish with the lime wedge.

The story has it that this cocktail was invented in Japan's Yokosuka naval base (near Tokyo) when the country was under American occupation. In Japanese, kamikaze means «divine wind.»
