Right Bank

A vineyard characterised by more gravely soils, this environment favourable to Merlot allows the wines to acquire a seductive roundness combining strength, finesse and elegance.

Libournais

Hub of the most prestigious vineyards of the Right Bank, the Libournais offers a mosaic of soils and subsoils that contribute to the uniqueness of the wines from one terroir to another. Although Pomerol and Saint-Émilion have several similarities, we will notice an even more marked presence of Merlot in Pomerol, where the wines will offer aromas of black fruits, a velvety texture and more moderate oak.

In Saint-Émilion, some châteaux will bet on the slightly more obvious presence of Cabernets, which will confer a more austere structure, more marked acidity, and which will benefit from more patient aging in oak barrels.

Left Bank

A vineyard characterized by its more gravelly soils, this environment particularly favourable to Cabernet Sauvignon allows the wines to acquire an imposing structure. In addition to their complexity and their moving aromatic persistence, these distinguished and seductive wines reveal an obvious aging potential… So many good reasons to stock up!

Médoc

Located further north, the communal appellation of Saint-Estèphe is renowned for its robust and powerful wines, sometimes even austere in youth. Excellent cellaring wines, they are associated with a spice character, specific to the appellation.

Next comes its neighbor Pauillac, probably the one with the most exceptional wines. Dominated by Cabernet Sauvignon, it is said that the appellation embodies both the power of Saint-Estèphe, but also certain characteristics of Saint-Julien, further south, known for the minerality and elegance of the wines it produces. The latter has a little more Merlot than its neighbors, which certainly contributes to its robust but more rounded profile.

The southernmost part of the Médoc is where you’ll find the unmissable Margaux. Dominated by Cabernet Sauvignon but where Merlot is also evident, this is the appellation we grant with a pleasant suppleness and exquisite velvetiness. An iron fist in a velvet glove!

Graves

Cradle of the greatest dry whites of Bordeaux, those of Pessac-Léognan are very expressive. A true aromatic palette combining yellow fruits, acacia flower, grapefruit and fresh mango defines the wines, to which aging in barrels brings even more complexity. Both ample and thirst-quenching, some even show magnificent mineral expressions.

When it comes to red wines, the balance also resonates. Generally more supple and accessible in their youth, they could be presented as being halfway between the most accessible wines of Libournais and the more austere and elegant of Médoc. They generally contain more Merlot than the latter, which makes the analogy even more relevant. To this profile will also be added an aromatic nuance that may be reminiscent of smoke.

Sauternes-Barsac

While amazing summer weather endured until late September, noble rot appeared in early October on these truly unique terroirs. Grapes were already bursting with fruit, so the phenomenon only accentuated the purity and frankness of the harvest to produce vibrant, mouth-filling wines of undeniable aromatic persistence. To rediscover without hesitation!
