The Quebec Sour
- 60 ml (2 oz.) Canadian whisky (preferably of the ''Medium-bodied and woody'' taste tag)
- 45 ml (1 ½ oz.) fresh old-fashioned apple juice
- 25 ml (¾ oz.) lemon juice
- 15 ml (½ oz.) maple syrup
- 1 egg white (optional)
- 1 thin apple slice
- Ice cubes
Combine all the ingredients in a shaker except the apple slice.
Dry shake a few seconds.
Add ice cubes and shake vigorously for 8 to 10 seconds.
Strain into an old-fashioned glass containing a few ice cubes using an ice strainer.
Garnish with a thin slice of apple, placing it gently on the top of the cocktail.
