Les Parelles Tradition Chardonnay Côtes du Jura 2017

With their unique style, Jura whites can be disconcerting. If you enjoy wines with personality, succumb to the charms of this “tradition” Chardonnay, meaning there was no ullage (the action of filling the evaporation void created over time in barrels with wine if needed). It is rather the appearance of a naturally formed yeast veil that will prevent content oxidation.  This will in turn give the wine its unique character, most famously represented by vin jaune (yellow wine) of the same region. Quite dry and featuring aromas of apple, toasted sesame and nuts, this wine displays nice aromatic strength that will surely be a hit with Conté cheese and some nuts.
