Whites

Thymiopoulos Atma 2020

❤ Why Éric loves it

It's hard to find flaws in this white Thymiopoulos. Charm, versatility, quality, price; it's all there. Usually used in the production of red wine, the Xinomavro is blended here with the aromatic Malagousia for a result that exceeds all expectations. Floral, fruity and endowed with a well-felt acidity, it will enliven any aperitif and enhance salads and sushi. It's Greek, organic and dapper. Buy it by the case!

Weszeli Felix Niederosterreich 2020

❤ Why Julie loves it

Just as delicate as it is invigorating, this cuvée highlights the Grüner Veltliner grape variety, star of the Austrian wine landscape. The perfect wine to refresh one’s palate when mercury is on the rise! A must with a Nordic shrimp roll, to which we’ve added a few diced green apples and pink grapefruit supremes. A succulent and thirst-quenching pairing.

Kechribari Retsina

❤ Why Julie loves it

Ready to drink outside the box? Retsina is a traditional Greek wine, flavoured with a hint of Aleppo pine gum. This 500 ml format is perfect for an aperitif, while its citrus and resin flavours will echo snacks involving olives, rosemary crackers and a few pieces of Feta cheese.

Reds

Altolandon Milhistorias Manchuela 2020

❤ Why Éric loves it

inNorthwest of Valencia, Grenache benefits from the coolness of the vineyards located in altitude in the Manchuela appellation area. Alto Landon produces a juicy, gourmet red with plenty of freshness. Dark fruits abound, enhanced by accents of violets and aromatic herbs. The kind of red that you chill before serving with grilled meats, paninis or beef tartare. Nothing complicated, but surprisingly effective!

Henry Marionnet Première Vendange 2020

❤ Why Éric loves it

The reputation of Gamays from the Beaujolais region is well established, but the quality that is made in Touraine is attracting more and more attention. At the Marionnets, old vines planted at the end of the 1960s are reserved for the totally natural production of this cuvée. Fermented in whole bunches, from indigenous yeasts and without the addition of sulphur, this red is incredibly pure. Red field berries, flowers and pink pepper enliven a silky, fresh and persistent palate. Perfect with homemade pizza, pork skewers, fatty fish or just to chill with friends.

Jean-Claude Chanudet La Cuvée du Chat 2020

❤ Why Julie loves it

A thirst-quenching red wine that quickly won the hearts of Quebecers, this Gamay wine reminiscent of Beaujolais comes from organic farming and is produced according to the "natural" philosophy. Very sapid with scents of red fruits, its delicate mineral finish invites us to dive back in. Serve slightly chilled with charcuteries on a picnic, or with BBQ-grilled poultry.

Bodegas Ponce La Xara Manchuela 2020

❤ Why Julie loves it

Absolutely seductive, this Grenache wine grown in altitude has truly succeeded in retaining an exquisite freshness and a perfect balance in its varietal expression. Organic and with very little sulphite added during bottling, it expresses itself in a crunchy fruitiness with subtle spicy nuances. Sausages or grilled pork chops will make for excellent companions.

Bubbly

Patrick Piuze Non dosé Méthode Traditionnelle

❤ Why Éric loves it

A master in Chablis, Patrick Piuze first trained with the talented Jean-Marie Guffens and Jean-Marc Brocard before going solo. Recognized for the straightforwardness and definition of his cuvées, our fellow Quebecer also knows how to craft a fine bubbly from a traditional method. Lively, elegant, lemony, toasted and slightly salty, this sparkling wine has it all to elegantly welcome guests or to showcase seafood with panko.

Mestres Coquet Cava Gran Reserva 2015

❤ Why Julie loves it

Spain is a playground for pretty finds at friendly prices. Case in point is this fantastic sparkling wine that has benefited from 42 months of aging on lees. This creates exquisite bubble finesse along with aromas of white fruits, butter and marzipan. Crack it open as an aperitif or serve it with steamed lobster. A delight!

Orange

Entre Vinyes Oniric Brisat 2020

❤ Why Éric loves it

A great introduction for those wishing to get better acquainted with macerated whites, this orange wine is set apart by its delicacy and overall balance. Delivering a bouquet reminiscent of white pepper, green tea, citrus and mineral notes, it is made from the Xarel-lo and Parellada varieties. A nice complement to mango and coriander salsa or spring rolls.
