60 ml (2 oz.) Irish whiskey
30 ml (1 oz.) simple syrup
1 dash Angostura bitters
Juice of 1 lemon
1 lemon wedge
Combine all ingredients, except for the soda and Angostura, in a shaker filled with ice cubes.
Shake vigorously for 8 to 10 seconds.
Strain into a highball glass containing a few ice cubes using an ice strainer and a sieve.
Top with club soda.
Add a dash of Angostura without stirring.
Garnish with a lemon wedge.
