2 lobsters, each about 625 g (1 1/4 lb.)
Sea salt (preferably) or table salt


  1. In a very large cauldron, pour in enough water so that it comes up 2.5 cm (1 in.) from the bottom.
  2. Add a pinch of salt. Bring to a boil.
  3. Once the water is boiling, dunk in the lobsters head first.
  4. Bring to a boil again.
  5. Leave to cook for 12 minutes once the water starts boiling.
  6. Drain the lobsters and place on a plate.
  7. Serve immediately.
