Bogle Vineyards Phantom 2012
Agriculture has been deeply rooted in the Bogle family since the mid-1800s. The first vines were however only planted by the father-son duo of Warren and Chris Bogle in 1968 in the small community of Clarksburg, California,near the Sacramento River. From its 8 initial hectares, the estate grew to a whopping 480. The vineyards of Clarksburg, Lodi and Amador are behind this cuvee aged 24 months in one and two year-old American casks. Exuberant, the cuvee reveals flavours of coconut, pastry, vanilla, cassis jam, plum and licorice. The mouth is coating and offers nice tension.
