Back in the 1980s, there was no estate in sight in Knights Valley, an appellation in Sonoma County. Peter Michael, a successful British businessman who made a fortune with high technologies, opted for that location to plant Bordeaux varietals, perfectly at ease in the region, as demonstrated by the beautiful Chardonnay results planted on the higher altitudes of the estate. His son Paul, assisted by the talented oenologist Nicolas Morlet, knows how to get the best out of the youngest vines of the estate for this blend, which varies from vintage to vintage, and will please fans of modern wines looking for new sure things for the cellar.
