“Coming from six parcels in the Swartland region, this Syrah benefits from 11 months of aging in various-sized barrels to minimize the impact of the wood. Cooked fruit, blackberry jam, vanilla and pastry cream characterize the profile of this wine followed by a tight mouthfeel with freshness and a pulpy fruit character. It ends with a slightly smoky finish. A magnificent wine that is light years away from modern, imposing and heady New World Syrahs.
