Brown Brothers 18 Eighty Nine Shiraz 2012
Brown Brothers is one of the most important Australian family businesses, making wines in Victoria State for over 125 years. Founded in 1889 by Johan Francis Brown, then only 18 years-old, this estate is set apart by its audacity in experimenting with European varietals. Made with Syrah and aged in French and American casks (only 9% new), this cuvee reveals notes of fruits, spices and flowers in a fleshy mouth with a touch of wood.
