Detailed info
Responsible for the Mencà¬a comeback, star grape of the region, the famous Spanish oenologist Raùl Perez remains a consultant at the family estate. The 75 hectares of old vines aged 30 to 60 years make Castro Ventosa the most important producer of this varietal. Located on the edges of Castro (ruins of an ancient Roman fort), the estate enjoys a microclimate with milder temperatures than the adjacent regions of Leon and Galicia. With no cask aging, this red offers lovely notes of fruits, spices and flowers in a balanced and fleshy mouth.
