Ventisquero Pangea Syrah Apalta Vineyards 2014

Viña Ventisquero is a flourishing estate that was established in 2000. Since 2004, the dynamic team has been carefully crafting Pangea, the estate's most famous cuvee, in the renowned Apalta region in Colchagua Valley. Famed oenologist John Duval, who worked at Penfolds for almost 30 years, is one of the two names behind this bottle. Made solely of Syrah, the wine was aged 20 months in French oak barrels (50% new) and another 18 months in bottle before being released for sale. Flavours of charred wood, cassis and black chocolate mark the rather fatty, lasting mouth. Impressive!
