Born from an exquisite vintage, this wine was awarded a perfect score by the famous wine critic Robert Parker. It is dominated by Cabernet Sauvignon (65% of the blend) complete with Merlot (30%), Cabernet Franc (4%) and Petit Verdot (1%). Château Pontet-Canet is the first Médoc Grand Cru Classé to obtain a biodynamic certification. Not only has the estate eliminated pesticides and herbicides, it also uses horses to plough the soil since 2008, a good way to prevent the land from becoming too compact.
