Detailed info
Very high maturity, indigenous yeasts and élevage in new wood... François Mitjavile spares no effort to bring to the forefront the aromatic depth which makes this wine's reputation. A student of the famous oenologist Émile Peynaud, Mr. Mitjavile knows how to get the best of the names places Tertre and Roteboeuf, especially during more challenging years like 2011. Dense and deep, the colour announces an intense bouquet. Of disturbing complexity, it reveals notes of truffle, licorice, tobacco, cassis, graphite and oak. The mouth is round, fresh and robust, and backed by tight tannins. A superb and refined wine that will only get more magnificent with time.
