Domaine de la Pousse d'Or Grand Cru Clos de la Roche 2014
Detailed info
Patrick Landanger acquired this Volnay estate at the end of the 1990s and went on to expand it to its current 18 hectares through the acquisition of vineyards in the prestigious areas of Côte de Beaune and more recently Côte de Nuits. The wines impress with their aromatic finesse and silky smooth texture.
«From 0.32 hectares of vines planted in 1950 and 1951.... The palate is very harmonious, silky smooth and elegant. There is fine weight in the mouth, though this is more about tension and elegance, with a gorgeous, sensual, satin-like touch to the finish. This could become one of the best wines from this vineyard.»
