Detailed info
Clos de Tart, a Momessin property since 1932, is the largest monopoly vineyard classified Burgundy Grand Cru. The 7.53-hectare parcel is located in Côte de Nuits and features vines aged 60 years on average, with some stocks reaching the century mark. The legendary cuvee, signed Sylvain Pitiot, marries the strength of Chambertin to the elegance of Musigny, some say. The precious production of only 18,000 bottles is aged 18 to 24 months. A rare, impeccable treat.
A complex bouquet of cherry, pepper, violet and tea comes through the light ruby hues. The supple mouth features a pleasing freshness and tight tannins alongside flavours of sandalwood, spices, cassis and graphite.
