"The barrel sample of 2011 L'Ermita consists of the same blend as the 2010 (90% Grenache, 8% Samso and 2% Grenache Blanc) but is being raised in two 500-liter foudres with thicker staves. It has an incredibly powerful bouquet, with layers of sorbet-like red fruits washing over your senses in waves of pleasure. The palate is full-bodied, with intense red fruits interlaced by cassis and spice, yet the finishis very well-defined and precise. This will be an "Olympian" L'Ermita although it has barely begun to show exactly what it can do.» - www.robertparker.com
