Pavillon Blanc du Château Margaux 2013
Detailed info
A true success for the celebrated Pavillon Blanc du Château Margaux. A wine with fantastic aroma, freshness and a long finish
White wine was made at Château Margaux during the 19th century. It was only in 1920, however, that it was sold under the name Pavillon Blanc du Château Margaux. The name change also marked the beginning of its rise to prominence. The Sauvignon vines are planted on a very old parcel that was not included within the geographic boundaries of the Margaux appellation when they were defined. Nevertheless, it produces one of the most terrific whites this side of the Gironde. Raised in oak barrels for seven to eight months, the wines retain freshness and vivacity, but also offer good aging potential. ES 91-93 WS 92-95 BD 91 WA 92Drink now or keep until 2023
