Château Palmer Margaux 3e cru classé 2013
Detailed info
A clean and refined aroma. A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (51%) and Merlot (49%) made from biodynamically grown grapes.
Even if this chateau owes its name to British General Charles Palmer, it is only when it was acquired by the Pereire brothers that it really took off. The well-known Parisian bankers, instilled new life into the estate. Unfortunately the timing was not propitious. It was accorded Troisième Cru Classé status in the 1855 classification just as major reorganization work had begun on the vineyard. Merlot is placed on equal footing with Cabernet Sauvignon at Château Palmer, contrary to several other Margaux estates, where it is accorded a secondary role. The finesse and elegance of the wine is attributed to this distinctive balance. A Margaux that can stand tall alongside the greatest.ES 90-92 WS 90-93 BD 93Ready to drink from 2018-2025- Country France
