Château Haut-Brion Premier Grand Cru Classé 2013
Detailed info
A wine with exceptional balance and wonderful finesse, made of Merlot (50 %) and Cabernet Sauvignon (45.5 %) polished off with Cabernet Franc (4.5 %).
Nestled in the southwest region of the city of Bordeaux, the estate was founded by Jean de Pontac in 1533, which makes it one of the oldest in all of Bordeaux. Joseph Eugène Larrieu took possession of the estate in 1836, working it up from a Graves to the prestigious rank of Médoc Premier Grand Cru Classé. The American Clarence Dillon then acquired this Pessac gem in 1935. His great grandson, Prince Robert de Luxembourg, currently reigns as president. In charge of the estate since 1923, the Delmas family brings the same know-how of their predecessors to the task of doing justice to this gravelly terroir's wines.ES 90-92 WS 91-94 BD 94Ready to drink from 2018-2028- Country France
