Château La Mission Haut-Brion Cru Classé de Graves 2013
Detailed info
A wine that showcases the flexibility of Merlot (65%) married with the powerful character of Cabernet Sauvignon (32%) and Cabernet Franc (3%).
«The priests of St-Vincent, who worked the land for over a century and a half, gave this estate the soul it has today,» so says Prince Robert de Luxembourg, managing director at Château. The Dillon family, who is related to Prince Robert de Luxembourg and also owns Château Haut-Brion, took possession of its neighbour in 1983. In 2007, the cellar was reorganized and redone, allowing for even greater precision and rigour in the vinification and aging of the wines. The rather gravelly terroir, which is flatter than that of Haut-Brion, straddles the communes of Talence and Pessac in the western part of Bordeaux. There's no denying it, Jean-Philippe Delmas and his people make up one of the most solid teams in Bordeaux!
