Château Cheval Blanc Premier Grand Cru Classé 2013
Detailed info
This wine confirms the excellence of the terroirs that have allowed an excellent team to stand out from the crowd. Pierre Lurton
Located on the border of the Pomerol commune, Cheval Blanc is a stone's throw away from Châteaux La Conseillante and L'Évangile. Pierre Lurton, the estate's manager since 1991, assisted by highly talented technical director Pierre-Olivier Clouet and, since 2004, consulting oenologist Denis Dubourdieu, tends lovingly to Cheval Blanc as if it were a thoroughbred. The 40 or so parcels of vineyard are vinified in the new cellar, inaugurated in 2011. Cabernet Franc, the favoured varietal at Cheval Blanc, is responsible for the redolence and finesse of this great wine. The addition of the Merlot makes a pitch-perfect pairing.
