Château Climens Premier Cru Classé 2013
Detailed info
Bérénice Lurton has a right to be proud of the 2013 Château Climens. The many lots tasted prove that this is wine with great finesse.
At the head of this outstanding cru, Bérénice Lurton brings all her passion and talent to bear on crafting this wine. At the beginning of the decade, she opted quite naturally for a biodynamic approach. The property's 30 hectares enjoy a remarkable setting, where red earth peppered with pebbles rests on a bedrock of limestone. One of the great Bordeaux terroirs, Château Climens produces wine from Sémillon vines that are wrapped in morning mist and benefit from ideal conditions for the development of botrytis. There is much irony in all this when you realize that Climens means «infertile soil» for the Gauls.
