Detailed info
The split of the great Batailley vineyard in the 1940s would give the Borie family two great lands: Château Batailley on one side and Haut-Batailley on the other. Located a few kilometers from Pauillac, at the southwestern most point of the appellation, the latter spans 22 hectares of vine. The originality of its terroir certainly comes from its proximity to the St-Julien frontier, a land characterised by harmony, complexity, grace and elegance, all echoed in the wine profile. A classic vintage with great length and richness, with notes of cassis, cedar and undergrowth.
