Detailed info
«The 2005 Otazu Vitral is made up of 90% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Tempranillo aged for 18 months in new French oak. The fruit was sourced from a single vineyard known as Los Perdigones and was crushed in the old-fashioned way, by foot, with alcoholic fermentation in new oak. It sports an alluring bouquet of pain grillé, pencil lead, exotic spices, incense, violets and blackcurrant. This is followed by a dense, rich, backward offering in need of an additional five to seven years of cellaring. Despite its size it is surprisingly light on its feet. It will deliver prime-time drinking from 2016 to 2025+.»
