Domaine Chandon de Briailles Aloxe-Corton 1er Cru Les Valozières 2014
Detailed info
Chandon de Briailles is part of the Domaines Familiaux de Tradition Association that covers the 28 oldest traditional Burgundian properties. In 1864 the Aymard-Claude de Nicolay family became owners of the Chandon de Briailles estate, which is currently directed by Claude and François de Nicolay. The 13 hectares of vines on the property are destined for the production of traditional wines where freshness and finesse overshadow volume and extraction.
«The fresh and ripe dark berry aromas display plenty of sauvage character as well as ample amounts of earth, humus and underbrush on the intensely floral suffused nose. There is excellent intensity and drive to the sleekly muscular broad-shouldered flavors that are shaped by robust but not hard tannins and outstanding length.»
