Domaine Patrick Javillier Meursault Clos du Cromin 2014
Detailed info
The Javillier family have been living and cultivating grapes in Meursault for several centuries, but it was only under the impetus of Patrick's father, Raymond, that the 10-hectare estate truly took its modern form. Patrick has headed winemaking operations since 1974, following studies in oenology, producing wines with a traditional profile. Fermentation in wood and long maturation on lees have allowed them to obtain their typical Meursault signature. These are deep and sophisticated wines.
«An overtly citrus-influenced nose displays notes of white peach, hazelnut and a whisper of wood. The succulent, rich and mouth-coating medium-weight flavors possess outstanding volume for a Villages-level wine while delivering sneaky good length on the well-balanced finish.... Recommended.»
