Detailed info
François Pinault, owner of Château Latour in Pauillac, purchased the renowned Engel estate in 2006 and renamed it in honour of his grandmother Eugénie. Frédéric Engerer, a lover of Burgundy and the director of Latour, now oversees production at this fantastic 7.5-hectare property. The long-term goal is converting all the vineyards to biodynamic production.
«There is good richness to the fleshy and round middle-weight flavors that exude a subtle minerality on the balanced finale where a touch of wood appears. This succulent yet sleek effort is quite forward and could easily be enjoyed young.»
