A maverick among winemakers, Jean-Louis Denois challenges traditions by experimenting in the southernmost Languedoc wine country. In a rare style for a blend outside of the Champagne region, the Pinot Meunier here is replaced by the Syrah to complete the more traditional Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Raised on lees for three years, this sparkling wine is rich, pungent, toasty and fruity. Great wine, great price!
