Located in British Columbia near Vancouver, Central City Brewers and Distillers is behind Red Racer beers and makes some artisanal cuvées such as this kriek-style beer. A lambic infused with cherries, it benefits from a two-year aging in oak barrels having formerly contained Cabernet Sauvignon wine. Brewed in Belgian fashion, it reveals aromas of red fruits, undergrowth, earth and spices on a sweet and rather powerful background.
