“Oh my God (perbacco!), it tastes like a Barolo” shouted Luca Currado’s mother at first sip of this cuvée. For the oenologist, this Langhe red is a Barolo in its own right. The casks of Barolo Castiglione that don’t make it to the final blend are the basis of this cuvée, showcasing great finesse and aromatic precision. The attack is supple and easy-drinking with added elegance though fruity, spicy and floral notes. The finale reveals the tight tannic structure you’d expect from Nebbiolo and a welcomed acidity.
