Transported in containers throughout Bavaria at the time, Aventinus froze during one of the trips, which changed its aromatic profile and power. An accident that was reproduced in the 2000s by Hans Peter Drexler, master brewer at Schneider Brewery. Under an abundant and very creamy foam, this heady beer offers frank notes of raisins, burnt caramel, licorice, tobacco, and prune in a lively, subtly sweet and very persistent finish.
