Founded in 1815, Laphroaig distillery is a neighbour of Lagavulin. It takes its name from the Scottish Gaelic ‘’Lag a'mhor aig’’, which means ‘’the cave in the bay’’. Matured in bourbon casks then in 60 liters quarter-casks and finally in sherry casks, this scotch offers powerful fruity, peaty and spicy sensations.
