“As usual, it's produced from the higher-altitude, chalkier parts of Avize, Cramant and Oger, where yields are naturally around a third lower. Offering up notes of dried white flowers, peach, waxy citrus rind and honeycomb, the wine is full-bodied, chalky and tensile, with more tension and concentration than the Initial, revealing a tighter-knit, more structured core and a long, stony finish.”
