“A distinctly cool and again reticent nose requires persistent swirling to gradually reveal notes of forest floor, the sauvage and ripe dark currant scents. There is better density and richness to the relatively powerful medium weight flavors that possess good levels of dry extract that helps to buffer the firm, serious and austere finish. This is a classic Gevrey and a very good one at that.”
