Castello Bonomi Franciacorta Cuvée 22 Extra Brut

The archetype of Italian sparkling wine, Franciacorta relies on the same grape varieties that have made Champagne famous. This cuvée "22" reveals the complexity of as many parcels of chardonnay that have been vinified separately, before being carefully blended by the cellar master of the estate. The second fermentation takes place in the bottle and the wine is then aged on its lees for several months.
